VIDEO: Books that Shaped Me

There is an internal struggle about posting a video. I think the variety would be good for a blog. I debated waiting until my hair was washed and styled. But it’s not. It’s exactly what I wore for the day. Jack is crying on the floor halfway through. This is life. I’ll try to stay true to my word and not curate it. (Also, is not the photo behind me the most amazing? One of the twins’ newborn, preemie hands wrapped around Cameron’s thumb. A gift from Cameron’s mom.)

Book recommendations:

  1. If and Gold by Moonlight by Amy Carmichael
  2. A Chance to Die and Through Gates of Splendor  by Elisabeth Elliot
  3. 7 Women and Bonhoeffer by Eric Metaxas
  4. Life Together by Dietrich Bonhoeffer
  5. The Lucky Few by Heather Avis
  6. Born Again by Charles (Chuck) Colson
  7. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by Bruce Ware

Current Reads:

  • Evidence Not Seen by Darlene Rose
  • Fierce Convictions by Karen Swallow Prior
  • Secure in the Everlasting Arms by Elisabeth Elliot
  • Treasuring Christ by Gloria Furman

Thank you for suffering through the minimal make-up, tired face. As the old joke goes, I’ve got a face for radio.

Erin, Couldn’t get my comment to post so I will try this! Thank you for doing the video – I will add a couple of those books that I haven’t read yet to my list! I think you should be a professional book reviewer in your spare time – you already have an assistant to help you – jack! He really wanted to talk too didn’t he? Great job and Love to you, Marcia
